It's so hard for me to believe that my beautiful daughter is already one week old! She has gone through so many changes already... I can't imagine what the rest of her life and all of her changes will be like.
On Monday of this week, Grandma Sally blessed us with her presence. She stayed all week to help out with the cleaning, laundry, cooking (Sean was especially happy with this part), and of course, plenty of grandma spoiling time.
And boy, were we glad to have her here on Thursday. Thursday morning I got a phone call from someone at Mercy. It seems that Keelyn's hyperthyroidism test from her newborn bloodwork came back as borderline, so we had to go get it done again.
Now, any of you Mom's out there that read this blog can imagine how scared/nervous/worried I got when I heard that, so Grandma Sally went with Sean and I to the hospital to get her tests done again. It was nice to know that I had my mom there during that. We will find out the results of the test within the next two weeks. We are praying that everything comes out ok with this test. Here is Grandma Sally telling Keelyn that she can't scare poor Mommy like that anymore :).
Today, Sean took Keelyn back to see Grandma Pam, Grandpa Larry and to meet Uncle Kevin for the day. Since this was my first day truly away from my baby (they were gone for 5.5 HOURS!!), I, being the hormonal WRECK that I am, completely lost it. So, again, Grandma Sally stepped in and saved the day by taking me shopping and out to eat at the Cheesecake Factory where we shared an oh-so-yummy piece of Snickers cheesecake. YUMM-O!!!!!!!
When Daddy & daughter returned home, Grandma Sally said her good-byes to Keelyn and me then went home. But... not without holding her precious granddaughter one more time.
I think today's good-bye was harder for me than when I said good-bye to her when I went to college!!! So, Mom, I just want to tell you thank you for everything you have done for us this week and I love you!!!
Within an hour of Mom leaving, my sister Katie (aka: bestest friend EVER from high school) will be arriving to spend the night and meet her brand new niece!!! I'm sure that I will be a wreck when she leaves, too.

Now... what would be a post without some pictures of my beautiful baby girl?
Beautiful.
