I know, I know.

It's been FOREVER and a day since I posted last. I know, I know. I'm horrible!! You know it's bad when Coach (I'm sure you can guess who I am talking about by this reference) says to me "are you EVER going to update the blog?".

One word folks, eeeeeeeeeeeeeewwwwwwwwwww.

I have to say, I have a TON of post ideas that will be coming soon. Don't believe me? I'm serious!

* Tim McGraw/Lady Antebellum concert
* Valentine's Day
* Daddy/Daughter Valentine's tradition in the making
* Babies, Shower, and Diaper Cakes
* Cupcakes Galore
* 7 months old
* Ahh-chooo

I'm guessing you can tell that things have been busy around here. So busy, in fact, that I have literally kept my laptop closed for 3 entire days. Gasp! Can you believe it? I hardly can myself! Coach and I have been doing quite a bit around the house these past few weeks and I have to say, it's been really nice to be unplugged.

So I vow to you that I will do another one of my big number posts one of these days. Like when I have my camera next to me so I can put some pics on.

In the meantime, please don't hate me and keep checking back... I'll try to knock your socks off!

New & Improved

No. You're eyes are not playing tricks on you. I posted. A lot. This one is the last one I typed (first one you're reading) of 11 news posts done tonight.

You're welcome.

I've decided that I'm going to start referring to our sweet baby girl as Lovebug. Why, you ask? Because that's what I call her at home, so that's what I'm going to call her on here, too.

If you want to read the posts in chronological order, you're going to have to scroll down, click on the older posts link, then find the first one of the night. If you don't care, then scroll down at your leisure. Either way, you're going to have to click on older posts to see what else we've been up to in the past 2 weeks.

I apologize for my sabbatical, but I must be honest. There were a few nights where it felt good to not touch my laptop.

News that I find important {to me} (well, important enough to blog about, but not important enough for its own post):

  • I scooped the snow from the deck, front steps, and ran the snowblow to clear off the driveway & sidewalk on Monday. All by myself!!! That's right. Wife of the Year Finalist baby!!
  • I had a 1/2 day off today and got a TON done after I dropped Keelyn off at Holly's. Part of me could really handle being a work from home Mama.
  • I broke a 1 inch thick wooden dowel yesterday. I strongly dislike one of our dogs, and I took my anger out on the dowel. I think I'm stronger than I give myself credit for.
  • I hurt my knee. Again. It hurt a ton last year on and off, it continually comes back, but on Monday, while snowblowing, a heard it pop. OVER THE SOUND OF THE SNOWBLOWER!!! Now there is a beautiful bruise on my kneecap. However, it's feeling a bit better.
  • I deep cleaned the house last weekend and it felt goooooooood to do it!

OK, that's all. Enjoy my hard work :) I'm headed to bed now.

Giggler

I was finally able to capture Lovebug's precious giggle on video tonight. I hope it brings a smile to your face like it does to ours.

6 month well check

Today was Lovebug's 6 month well-check. She did fantastically well!!

Now that she's of that age, she qualified for the flu shot and the h1n1 shot. What is a mother to do?!???! (especially when she didn't know these questions were going to come up and I hadn't had a chance to talk it over with Daddy. Yikes!!!)

I said go for it.

Poor lil' girl. She ended up with 5, yes 5, shots. Ouch!! I felt so bad for her. She wailed during and after the shots, but stopped once I picked her up, which I was semi-happy for.

As for her stats, here ya go:

Height-- 26.6 inches, 75th %ile
Weight--18 lbs. 12 oz, 90th %ile
Head--17 inches, 65-70th %ile

Dr. El Dadah said she's doing well, he's happy with her growth, and he said move onto stage 2 foods. Can do doc! I'm sure Lovebug will be happy to have a little more variety in her diet :)

After the shots, I ended up taking her back to daycare where she only slept 20 minutes and fussed the entire.day.long. Poor Holly! She definitely earned that paycheck today!

Lovebug fell asleep in the van on the way to the post office, so I did what any red-blooded Mama would do. I drove around the southside for over an hour to let her sleep peacefully. When we got home, she ate well, drank well, gave us some smiles & giggles, and fell asleep at 7:30, but she's been making lots and lots of noise for the past two hours. I'm hoping that when I head to bed that she will fall into a deep, deep sleep and stay that way. I don't do too swell without much sleep. And neither will she!

Anywhosers, she'll go back in one month for her follow-up flu & h1n1 shots (which, by the way, her Daddy will be taking her to) and we'll head back in May for her 9 month well-check where there will be NO SHOTS!!!!

To the doctor that came up with that decision, I say thank you, thank you, THANK YOU!!!

Valentine Outfit Thursday edition

Yes, you read it right. It's the Thursday edition. Yes, I know. Thursday does not come directly after Tuesday. Wednesday does. Unfortunately, I didn't get a picture of the Wednesday outfit because Lovebug here got it a little dirty. With things you don't want to know about. So we're onto today's outfit.

L-O-V-E.

I L-O-V-E her in this outfit.

But more than the outfit, I L-O-V-E her!

Valentine Outfit Tuesday edition

Tuesday's outfit was too cute for words. Seriously. I could have just eaten her up once she had it on. The best part of the outfit were the little footies.

See? Perfect pointed toes! Aren't they the cutest?!??

Too cute.

Cute as a bug. A lil' Lovebug.

Valentine Outfit Monday edition

Just like Christmas, Lovebug had several Valentine's Day outfits courtesy of her godparents, so what better way to show them off but with their own posts!

She's really not camera shy... she's just learning to flap her arms a bit more :)

Mommy's little lovebug. True that.

I could seriously get lost in those eyes.

cuh-RACKIN' herself up! Gotta love it.

Chillaxin'

The other night, I thought I'd let Lovebug try out her Bumbo again. We hadn't used it in quite awhile (mainly because her thighs had gotten so thunderous that they would no longer fit in the leg spots), so I gave it the ol' college try.

As you can see, she LOVED it!

Her toys were in easy reach, she couldn't fall backwards...

...she could still see her beloved TV. What could be better?

Oh. Right. Being able to fall backwards, having to reach for her toys.

But man, oh man, did she look cute chillaxin' in it :)

Best.Gift.Ever.

Lovebug has been getting a lot of use out of her toys. But the big one that Santa brought her at Christmas is edging ahead.

Just look at her when she's in it.

Happy as a clam.

Pleased as punch.

Head over heels in love with her first Santa present... best.gift.ever. Or at least until next Christmas ;^)

Berry Cool

Last month when Lovebug and I headed to Omaha to see Grandma & Grandpa, we also got to see our most favorite personal shopper cousin Jenna. As usual, she had done more shopping for Lovebug.

And LB (Lovebug) couldn't be happier!

I mean, look at her!!

She is berry cool!

...even with all those extra rolls keepin' her warm :^)

Baby I'm the Lucky One

I have to be the luckiest woman on earth. I have a wonderful husband and a beautiful daughter. One of my favorite things to see is when my two favorite people are together like they are right here...
Cheese!!!

Seriously. I am the luckiest woman ever!

Hamming it up...

"Hey! TP! Look at ME!!!" Poor Daddy :(

Kisses. Nothing better than Lovebug kisses.
They love each other more to the moon.
But I love them to the moon... and back.

Snacks

On Saturday, January 30th, Lovebug here got to try a sippy cup for the first time EVER. She also got to enjoy a tasty graham cracker with it. That's right. Lovebug has graduated to snacks. A girl after her own Mama's heart on that one! She doesn't necessarily get the whole jist of the cup, but by golly, she sure knew what to do.

S-T-R-E-T-C-H!

Professional sippy cup user folks :)

Concentration at its finest.

I think I'm more impressed that I FINALLY got a money shot of her two teeth! And yes everyone, it's still only two teeth.

Shoot. I hate it when I drop my food in my elbow.
What?
Do I have something on my face?
:)
