Lovebug's Halloween Party

Here are some more pictures I got from Holly today with Lovebug at her Halloween party.

Lovebug seemed to love the sprinkles on her cookie :)

 We love Holly.  Not just 'cuz she's the best daycare person EVER... but because she really treats the kids on party days.  Today = Happy Meals from McD's :)

{Does her hair look hilarious to anyone else besides me?!?}

Happy Halloween from Lovebug

Holly sent us this too cute for words picture of Lovebug today.  She's all shnazzed up for her Halloween party today.  I'm sure I'll share more pics later.

Goin' to the Home

On Saturday, Lovebug, my mom and I all visited my Grandma Vi at the nursing home.  Lovebug and Great-Grandma Vi raced in the hallways... Lovebug, of course, won :).

While there, she stole a teddy bear off of Great-Grandma's bed, played in a car, ate a cookie, WOWED and amazed all the residents with her beauty, and as always (on a Saturday--apparently most girls do not wear Hawkeye football jerseys???) was called a boy I don't know how many times!!  Urgh!!  I sure wish she'd keep the hairbows in!  Maybe then they'd notice the difference.

{there may have been a slight infatuation with the walker}

Lovebug's 1st Haircut

Friday, Lovebug had her very first haircut with the only hairdresser I trust to do my hair, Caryl.  We even had to drive 2 hrs and 15 minutes to get to her!!!

I know, I know... some of you may be thinking "what?!?  Why on earth would you want to cut such beautiful curls!??!!?"  It's not that we cut them off... we simply did a little trim so her beautiful curly ringlets will grow a bit better.

{the water spritzing begins}

{Lovebug LOVES when you spray her hair with water!}

{Lovebug liked Caryl playing with her hair}

{look how long her hair really is!!}

{Lovebug is wearing Grandma Sally's work keys... and reading a book...}

{wow.  we both look thrilled, don't we?}

{books, Mommy's lap, and a haircut.  what else could a girl ask for?}

{...they could ask for a bracelet, a comb, a toy bear, another book, and oh... to get down :)}

{the finished product... drying off... not really, but she wanted to sit in the chair}

Happy Birthday Grandpa Dale!

 Lovebug had lots of fun helping Grandpa Dale celebrate his birthday on Friday.  Due to this *ahem* slacker of a daughter, Grandpa Dale's present was Lovebug's presence.  Really... what could be better though, right?  ;)

Just a Swingin'

Tonight Lovebug and I walked up to our neighborhood park for a little fun on the swings.

Lovebug thoroughly enjoyed it.  Then again, she also enjoyed watching a few bigger kids play on the equipment.  I could just see it in her eyes... 'I want to run around on that, too'.  Poor thing.

 Instead, I pulled the swing back and away she went!  That brought out some smiles :)

Did I mention that Lovebug has been into carrying her dolls or teddy bears around wherever she goes?  On this lucky trip, her baby got to come with.  See her peeking out from the seat?

By the end of our 45 minute excursion, Lovebug was in an absolute daze, so we walked back home, but not before 30+ ducks swooped down and landed in the pond.  I'm hoping the weather stays nice for the rest of the week so she and I can get back up there and maybe feed the ducks.  It'll make for another great photo op night :)

Hard at Play

Lovebug seems to be enjoying our new neighborhood.  When it's nice outside, the neighbor kids are running around... and since our house is in the middle of all of them, our driveway & sidewalk turn into the meeting area.  Lovebug LOVES that!  Of course, she also thinks she can keep up with these big kids.  Me, on the other hand, not so much.  It doesn't stop her though.
