Terrific & Terrible Tuesday

Tuesday, we watched the weather and realized the storm was coming towards us. What did this mean for us? Well, it meant we had to cut our time at Grandma Sally & Grandpa Dale's short.

Therefore, we had to cram in as much as possible in 8 hours.

We started our day by visiting Grandma Sally at her school so she could show off her grandkids. Plus, Owen really wanted to play some instruments. Below is a link to a slideshow of the visit.

Then, we traveled a few more miles to visit great Grandma Vi. She just moved to a new nursing home, and was totally shocked to see us there.

Good heavens! Keelyn looks almost as big as great-Grandma Vi!

Sleepy Sunday & Marvelous Monday

Last Sunday afternoon, we packed up the van and headed back to Early to my parents for the Nellis side Christmas. By the time we got there, my brother, his wife & their lil' guy were there and waiting for us {at least I like to think so :)}.

Keelyn slept the entire 2.5 hours up there, and Sean wishes he could have :). We hung out, watched Owen play in the snow (first time ever for this Texas native), and spent quality family time together.

Monday meant a day of lounging around in our PJs.

You know what he's thinking, right? I want one. I want one! I want one!!!

Monday night, we all showed our support at my Mom's middle school Christmas concert. Her kids did great (as did she). Here's a pic of Owen & Jason. As you can see, they are VERY into it. Owen even directed just like Grandma Sally :)

Happy Birthday Marshall

Last Sunday (no, not this past... the one before), we celebrated our nephew Marshall's 3rd birthday. We partied it up at Aunt Mandy's (Sean's sister) apartment. We had a yummy lunch, saw the Lynam fam, and of course, watched Marshall shred thru the wrapping paper to find the treasures underneath.

A big ol' farm rug, of course! For those of you who don't know, Marshall is the only 3-year-old I have ever met that can tell you every.single.thing about every.single.piece of farm equipment.

As an added bonus, Keelyn got to open up an early Christmas present from great Aunt Sharol & great Uncle Bill.

Santa came early!!!

Last Saturday, Sean put in a special phone call to the jolly ol' Santa Claus begging and pleading for him to bring Keelyn's big present to her early, since she and I were doing last minute shopping. When we girls got home, there was this big ol' box wrapped beautifully. And there's Sean. Sitting. Waiting. Smiling. Not patiently. He was bursting at the seams waiting for Keelyn to open it!!!


Sooo... she got started.

Now, the downfall to Daddy's plea for Santa to bring this early was that Santa's elves were unable to put it together. Therefore, Mommy* got to do it!!

*Side Note: Here in Lynamland, I am the put-ter together person. And I would like to thank Santa for making it super easy to put this bad boy together :)

Keelyn has loved every.single.second in it since we got it! See?

The best part is that Santa truly does watch you and know things about you. Santa knew we have a teeny, tiny house. So he made this exer-saucer able to fold down. Nice. I don't have a pic of that, but fear not... I will get one for you as proof.

Friday's Christmas Outfit

Friday at Holly's meant our last day of Christmas outfits. But it meant more. WAY more. It meant Keelyn's first Christmas Party!!

And what girl doesn't want to wear a beautiful dress to a party?

Thursday's Christmas Outfit

Thursday's Christmas outfit was a sweet pair of Christmas PJs. Why, you ask, would I send my daughter to daycare in PJs? Well for a PJ party, of course!!!

And... being the only girl at daycare, you know I had to accessorize her to show off to the boys :)

A Fountain

OK people, so I have had the cutest ideas for posts for every day this week, but I was sooo super busy each night that I couldn't get it done. Until tonight. This is the first post of 4 that are new tonight... make sure you check them all out. I'm dressing Keelyn in all her Christmas outfits this week... with matching hairbows... cutest thing EVER!!!

Monday was a rough day for poor Keelyn. She was very fussy for Holly, and was even more fussy for us! She WAILED any time she was put on her back. It was not pretty. I finally gave her some Tylenol at 9:30 to help her sleep. She just seemed like she was in so much pain! Made me want to cry ;(

On Tuesday, I told Holly all about her bad night, and we both thought the same thing... ear infection. So, I called Sean to tell him about it and being Daddy of the Year, he took off the afternoon and took Keelyn to the doctor. The result? No ear infection! Thank goodness. She was apparently having a bad day. Poor thing. Sean also went to the doctor for him b/c he started to not feel well. Poor thing. The result for him? Not sick.

Tuesday night, I started preparing my famous Snickers cookies. For those of you who haven't had them, let me tell you that they are DELICIOUS!!!

I prepared 105 of the lil' guys... then I ran out of Snickers'. Shoot. But hey... preparing them is the hardest part, so I got most if it done.

Tonight, I finished preparing them and got to bake them. I baked 151 cookies in 2 hours. Impressive, huh? I thought so.

Once I had the cookies all baked, it was time to melt some chocolate. Double boiler style.

Then I dumped the melted chocolate into a ziploc baggie for my DIY piping bag. Clip the tip and go to down drizzling chocolate over the cookies...

MMmmmm....yummy.

Once done with the chocolate drizzle, it's time to sift some powdered sugar on top. Don't they look to die for????????

So there you have it. My reason for not blogging the past few nights. Tomorrow night brings the cutting out, baking & decorating sugar cookies, then I'll be done.

Are you wondering why I've titled this post "A Fountain"? Well... due to my counter being overtaken by tasty treats, I was unable to lay Keelyn's towel on it for her bath. So Sean helped me out by holding Keelyn while I got her undressed. See where this is headed? Yep. She pretended she was a fountain... and peed... all over Sean... and my couch!!!!! Was she done? OH NO!!! Once she was done with her bath and I was drying her off, she turned her fountain back on and peed on me. Hmmm.... maybe that's why those old ladies were calling her a boy at the craft show...
