Found It

I found the camera!  It was hiding inside the changing mat in the diaper bag.  Isn't that where you leave your camera?

Chewing on my keys...

Speaking of chewing... we realized why she's been chewing lately.  Her "i" teeth are two big, swollen blobs in her gums.  We're thinking they'll hit the week that Grandma Sally & Grandpa Dale spend with her :).

Lovebug and my godmother Kandis.
Kandis had strings on her shirt.
Strings are Lovebug's FAVORITE thing to play with!!!

Seriously???

So yesterday, Lovebug and I packed up the van and headed back to Carroll to celebrate my godparents' youngest son's high school graduation (confused?  I am!).

Lovebug was a great rider for me.  Slept nearly the entire way there and slept the entire way back.  Lemme tell ya... this Mama was a jealous one.  It used to be me that got to sleep on road trips.  Oh, how times have changed.

Lovebug, being her feisty self, decided it would be more fun to army crawl, rather than crawl for real.  Grandma Sally & Grandpa Dale had to be thinking the same thing I was saying outloud... "Seriously?!?!??!"  Little stinker!

Though the time went fast, it was good to see my family, both immediate and extended.  And it was really fun to have Lovebug meet some of her new "family", too.

I did snap a few pictures, but now that I look back, all I can think is "seriously?!??!  those are all I took?"  Why does the thought of whipping out the camera always flee my non-stop running brain?

And now, I can't for the life of me remember which bag I put the dang camera in.

Seriously?!?!!?

PLUS, it's now at least a half-hour past when I started this post and I'm finally finishing it.

Seriously?!??!?!

Yes.  Seriously.  I am one seriously tired Mama who is seriously ready to head to bed and get a seriously awesome night of sleep to prep for a seriously awesome week.

On the agenda:
Monday--maybe a trip to Sam's Club.  Diapers & Gatorade. Life's necessities, ya know.
Tuesday--morning field trip for a sing-along with, wait for it, The Nadas!!!
Wednesday--an early-out to do whatever I want to do
Thursday--a break, maybe?
Friday--a field trip to lAmes for the State Special Olympics games!!!!!

OK.  I am seriously finished with this post.

Wordy Wednesday

Yes.  You read it right.  Wordy Wednesday... not Wordless.

Why?

Smart me forgot my camera at school :(.

Lovebug is crawling!!  Lovebug is crawling!!!  She took two lil' baby crawls (I know, sounds funny, right?) on Sunday... her very own Mama's Day present to yours truly you know :)

Tonight it is full on crawling though!

And that's not all.  Oh no, not my Lovebug.

She is also pulling herself up on ev.er.y.thing!!  Fireplace hearth, laundry basket, couch, toy box, Mama's shirt.  And let's not forget about when she's at Holly's!  She pulled herself up on the toys and her walker there today.

I never quite understood what people meant when they said to me "it goes so fast", but boy were they right!  I cannot believe she is 9 1/2 months and crawling all over like it's nobody's business.

Love ya Lovebug!  Mommy & Daddy are so proud of you!!!

It Came So Soon

For those of you out there in stalkerville that don't follow high school baseball, today was day one of official practice.

This also meant today was day one of Coach being, well,... Coach.  It also meant that I join the ranks of other Coach's wives (of course, I still prefer my self-made title of A.D.) and became a single mom for the season.

Day one didn't go too badly.  We traveled to WDM where I finished up and handed in my paperwork for my part-time job, got a birthday present for a great new friend, Adrian, and got Lovebug a couple new baseball-themed onesies (Yankees, anyone?).

Coach actually beat us home tonight, believe it or not.  He said he RUSHED out of there to get home to his girls...awwww.  That was nice of him, wasn't it?  He's pretty pumped for the season.  He's got some talent that he's excited to get going with.  Game 1 of the year will be again Ankeny where I will hopefully get to see another great friend.  Get it on your calendar Missy!! :)

Day two will be my normal insanity of working the p.t. j-o-b, but Wednesday will be my real true test.  I will start painting more of the house.  Let's hope Lovebug likes her pack-n-play.

Well that's all for now.  I will try my hardest to keep up on the posts for all of you.

Hot Chocolate--Lynamland Style

Well all...

I've come to the realization that I'm falling behind on my blog.  Again.  Always.

Like... did you see the post of Lovebug's 4th tooth?  No?  Oh yeah, I didn't get it done.
Did you see the post of our finished basement?  No?  Oh yeah, I didn't get it done.
Did you see the post of Lovebug and her boys at daycare?  No?  Oh yeah, I didn't get it done.
Or what about the a.dor.a.ble picture of Lovebug rockin' my shades.  No?  Oh yeah, I didn't get it done!!!

I'm hoping it will come to an end soon.  To make sure that happens, I'm actually posting about something that happened today!  I know, right?  Shocker!

Today, Coach and I (I use "I" loosely... Coach really was the driving force here) began painting the house.  Yeppers... buh-bye ugly greenish-gray color.  Say hello to what I like to call "hot chocolate"--Lynamland style.

Whadaya think?

Here's what we got done.  You can see the old color next to the new color.  Drastic change... but boy, oh boy do we love it!  The trim color seems to pop against the main color, which is something that we'd been missing on the back of the house.

Don't ya think it's going to be great??  We sure do!

And on top of that... I have to do a shout out to Coach... again.  Take a look at our beautiful yard!  I'm tellin' ya peeps, Coach has put blood, sweat, and tears into this yard and his hard work is truly paying off right now.  Perfect mowing lines.  Plush, soft grass.  And the vibrant color.    Looks great again the new mulch, my finally growing cone flowers, and of course, the new paint.

More painting to come tomorrow.  If any of you stalkers followers are bored, come on over!  I'm sure we can find an extra brush layin' around.  Unless this lil' girl get ahold of it first :).

Check out the new tooth :).
