All the Fixin's

And no, I don't mean food because my kitchen is pretty much packed up.

I mean that literally, we are in a week of needing to fix things.

Don't believe me?  Here's the list...

1. My tooth.  I had to go to the dentist yesterday because something was wrong with my crown.  Turns out my crown twisted in my mouth and sliced the tooth next to it.  How does that happen?  Not even my dentist could figure it out.  Either way, they had to fix it.

2. My van.  It has/had:  a screw in the front left tire, a nasty white-trash sounding squeal, an ABS sensor that was CONSTANTLY on, and a back hatch bolt that was *ahem* busted by Coach.  How?  Who knows.  Either way, it had to get fixed.  And it's still there.  So I have a sweet rental car.  How sweet?  It had 16 miles on it when I got it.  OH YEAH BABY!  Mama's ridin' in a brand new Malibu.  Not gonna lie, feels kinda good to ride in a new car (not van) without a carseat in the back.  Alas, this will come to an end tomorrow, but I'm livin' it up while I can :)

3. Our current furnace.  We had our house inspection last week, the new owners wanted our furnace cleaned.  The peeps came out to do it yesterday and told us we have a crack in the heat exchange thingy (technical term, I know) and that Iowa code states it MUST get replaced.  It will leak carbon monoxide.  Great.  We're currently negotiating how that's going to work out.  Stay tuned.

4.  Lovebug's naptime and night time schedule.  Somehow... not sure how... this summer, Lovebug was "rocked" to sleep while "watching TV" with Coach every.single.night.  Thus, she would not go to sleep for anyone else without throwing a major tantrum.  And I *ahem* may have done the same thing for naptime... as well as when Lovebug would wake up in the middle of the night.  That's all getting fixed, as Lovebug entered boot camp yesterday.  That's right folks... Mama is getting her on schedule for her to go to Holly's next week.  Naptime for 2 days in a row=straight to bed, no rocking.  Yesterday was tears for 7 minutes, today tears for 5 minutes.  Same thing is being done at bedtime.  Last night=20 excruciating minutes of crying.  Tonight?  NONE!  I kept her up a little longer, and started a bit of a night time schedule.  Wanna know what it is?  Eat, then play, then bath, then books, then bed.  Worked out GREAT!  Let's see how it goes tomorrow.

5. Our classrooms.  Today we traveled as a happy family of 3 to Coach's room and worked on his word wall, hanging posters, and doing last minute things.  Tomorrow I will be going to my room for the last time... the last time, that is, until I am FORCED to go there next Monday :(.

Here's hoping I haven't jinxed myself to needing to fix more things as the week goes on.
