My new best friend

Today Sean and I went to Target, one of my favorite stores in the WORLD! We went there on a mission, and no, it was not to look at baby paraphenalia... that day will come soon. It was to buy this...

The Shark Steam Mop!

Now, I am sorry to disappoint my sister-in-law that I bought myself my own As Seen on TV gift (it's our new idea for Christmas '09 this year), but I couldn't control myself.

I have to say, if you own a home, townhouse, condo, or rent and have hardwood, linolium, or tile floors, you MUST go buy one of these! No longer do you need to worry about scrubbing the floors on your hands and knees. No longer do you need to use a mop that spreads the dirty water back around. Swiffer Wetjet? Eat your heart out!! This badboy is AMAZING!!!

Yes, I am proud to say I am blogging today about a cleaning tool. You don't believe me? Come look at my floors (just don't look at the rest of the house... they didn't have a Shark Cleaning Lady in stock) :o).

My next purchase? The extra cleaning pads... I have a feeling I will be cleaning my floors a LOT with this nifty gadget.

Oh, and in case you're wondering, I looked exactly like the woman in the picture... except for the fact that her tummy is a smidge flatter than mine... that pudge before the bump has begun :o(.

A whirlwind appointment

Today was a good day. I got to hear our baby's heartbeat :0)... for almost 5 whole seconds! Sean unfortunately did not :o(... he was still at work. The whirlwind part? I saw the doctor for less than 2 minutes... he was rushing out to go deliver someone else's baby. Geez, who does that lady think she is taking MY doctor away from me?!???!??! HA! As Dr. Johnson said, "That will be you in a few months."

How many months, you ask? 6 months!???! Oh boy! Or girl!

Let's see what else I can tell about the 2 minute appointment... oh I know, next month's appointment. On Wednesday, February 25th at 9:50am, we will have our ultrasound. Let's hope that Lil' Lynam stops its stubborn streak and let's us find out if "it's" a he or a she. Needless to say, when we find out, you will find out, too... once I get the post done that is.

Other than that, that's all for now. It's almost bedtime here in Lynamland. Until next time...

Date Day!!!

Today was a fun day for us... we had Date Day! First, it started by going to the UNI-Drake basketball game.

I am very happy to say that the Panthers POUNDED Drake!!! Sean and I decided not to stay for the whole game due to the fact that neither of us were comfortable and the Panthers were up by 30.

But it didn't stop there...

Sean then treated me to...

Palmer's Deli!!!!!!!!! Let's just say I made an absolute pig out of myself and I loved every.single.bite!!! Much to my dismay, I did NOT have an dessert there :-(. What was I thinking?!??!!?!?? Oh well. Another time.

To top it off, we came home and both took a much needed nap. Date Day... an absolute success. Thanks hon :)

Starting to think nursery

OK, so we all know about the great deal Sean and I got on the glider/rocker for our nursery, which only makes me think now about what crib, dresser, and shelves I want to have. Our nusery is EXTREMELY small... I mean, we are seriously talking small here. Due to space reasons, I know we will have to have a dresser that is also a changing table, and I would really like to have a crib that has a drawer on the bottom to hold extra blankets & crib sheets.

Craig and his magical list

Since Target.com (boo!!) caught an apparent "mistake", they took away my fun post of "My Very First Big Baby Purchase". But thanks to a wonderful man (real or imaginative) Craig and his list, I can now proudly post that I have made... my very first big baby purchase!!! Check it out!

After emailing the lovely woman who is selling this to me, I found out that it was brand new from Babies 'R Us, but her baby chose to hate rocking, therefore she hardly used the chair. AND it was a bargain. What could be better than that!?!?

I know! If Craig and his magical list can magically sell the 4 things I just listed.

**Important: I must publicly apologize to Sean. Sean, I am very sorry that I got purchase happy and emailed the lady saying I would buy the chair before I let you see the picture. I get too excited when I see nice things that I want for cheap. I promise that I will NOT do this the entire lifespan of our child. Love ya!!!!!

Trimester 2!!

Today starts another milestone with our pregnancy... the end of my first trimester and beginning of my second trimester! How is it that time is going so fast?!!??!!? It's hard to believe that in 6 more months Lil' Lynam will be here. Get ready world!!!
